A Study of the Views on E.M.T. Profession of the E.M.T. College Students

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptions related to E.M.T. profession of E.M.T. student. The subjects of the survey were 112 students from 3 junior college by questionnaire from November 25 to November 29, 1996 in Kwang-Ju, cheong-Ju and Kong Ju.
The results were analyzed using the SAS and can be summarized as follows:
1. The view on profession was high in the area of "special knowledge and skill".
2. In terms of the views on E.M.T. profession, patient´s survive and relieve the pain were commonly responded.
3. Asked about competence as a E.M.T., experience and skill on the E.M.S. were responded as the highest.
4. With regard to the ideology on E.M.T., know E.M.T. themselves and require professional body of knowledge on E.M.T.
5. The necessary knowledge’s of E.M.T. were high in the areas of "bleeding and shock", "head and cervical injury" and "ACLS". And it lows in "administration and management", "Recording" and "communication by wireless telegraph".
